Bloggers are basically journalist. Yes.
What are journalist?
According to WIKIPEDIA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journalist)
- Reporters are one type of journalist. They create reports as a profession for broadcast or publication in mass media such as newspapers, television, radio, magazines, documentary film, or the Internet.
Here's the difference tho, bloggers just merely write anything they want on their website. Be it a fact, a gossip or just plain crap. Journalist however are obligated to research on facts about that certain subject and then only are able to share their work around.
So, in conclusion, YES, journalist are bloggers but with different criteria.
True, i agree. A journalist and a blogger could be writing about the same topic / theme, but what really differs is the way they write. While a blogger could be voicing his heart out, a journalist has to stay sane and write properly.
