After reading the two articles given:
- http://www.businessweek.com/technology/content/mar2005/tc2005037_7877_tc024.htm
I agree on what chris pirillo had said but not the business week article. Come on, bloggers and journalist writes, is just that they write different things, different criteria. The common thing is that bloggers and journalists both writes, post it online and millions and millions of people would view it.
For journalists, they write things when people give them the topic and facts and all. They write for well known companies, like newspaper companies, magazine, so on and so forth. In my opinion, i think they are also more towards the reporter side. You get the info, you give people the news they want to see everyday.
And as for the bloggers, they DO WRITE things as well but its more towards what they want to talk about what or how they feel, what they did over the weekend or something like that. BLOGGERS type out what they WANT TO TALK ABOUT and not like JOURNALISTS, they type out what they HAVE TO TALK ABOUT.
Besides, journalists are paid to write what they have to talk about everyday. For example, they get a topic, go deeper to get more information on the topic, get photos, interviews or so on and they start writing. They even write for events, current addiction or trend, issues and many more BUT bloggers are not paid to write what they want to talk about. For bloggers, its like something they want to do, they want to let how they are or what they're doing to others.
Well, what i'm trying to say here is that bloggers are journalists, just whatever that is written, is in a different criteria, different thing BUT the common thing is that they do WRITE.
