The ever growing social media in the last few years had greatly affects the society’s lifestyle, so much it had become today’s pop culture. One would be deemed as left behind if he or she has not yet taking part in the social networks across the internet. In fact, most of the world’s happenings are acknowledged through the social sites as it is the most fastest and effective form of media around the globe. Not only that, everyone, be it your family or friends, indirectly take the position of a reporter as they are able to tell the public of on-going events and perhaps accidents with just a mouse-click.
As we talk about society’s lifestyle, we can see that logging in to social sites becoming one of the activities needed to be done in everyday’s schedule. Facebook, Myspace, Blogspot, you name it. We would, in any way, not to miss out with what their friends and families have posted on the site itself. It is no longer a surprise matter that we actually spent hours just to check out updates posted by people we have followed. By just sitting in front of the gadget that could connect us to the community, life is considered as complete. However, this trend has slowly degrades our life in reality. We had spent a lot of time by staying idle in front of our own computer or other tech items that allows internet connection; so much that we’ve become unproductive. Also, we seemed to forget the joy of meeting with the people we have known face-to-face.
Everything in our life has its pros and cons and social media is not an exception. Nevertheless, it is up to how the people use social media; whether it is for greater good or other way round.

ReplyDeleteBut then again, would you say that sitting infront of social networking sites are almost 100% unproductive. Sometimes, news spread such as world happening and stuff and you wouldnt noe the time it spreads. Also, following ppl and "stalking" their profiles and chatting with them, would you consider this unproductive? because this helps relationships to grow hence have many close circles...

ReplyDeleteWell, in my opinion, i think its not necessarily for one to have an account on either one of social network that they have created. It would be an addiction and daily routines would be put aside! Yes they might be left behind if they dont have a social network account but i really dont agree on a "must have" an account to follow up on the current social thing. Thank you.
