Social Media : It's affects towards us all

Social Media has become an important element of society's everyday life. Some might resort to abandon it once and for all, some are absolutely ignorant of it's usage, but what is more alarming is that an increasing portion of the society is in fact unable to part from their everyday mingling and interactions in social media sites. In fact, this phenomenon deems social media as a necessity  of the society's life, especially of those bunch who are computer and gadgets- literate.  It's a common fact, that as soon as you log on your computer / laptop and whatnot, one of the frequent sites that one would browse through is a social media site. The most perfect example of course is the ever so popular Facebook. Recent studies shows that the average person tends to check their Facebook for more than 3 times a day ! 


     Now we must dig down deeper, as to why visiting such social media sites are so addictive for us. People need people, that's why. Such sites brings much company to those who are staring alone in front of the computer screen. The internet used to be a static one way medium, but now with the emergence of social media sites, the possibilities are endless.  It brings people together from all over the world, usually under a specific interest and such; bonds are formed, friendships are created, and even marriages are sparked in action. If you look at a larger scope, most of the well-known / most visited sites on the net are social media oriented. In fact, most of the sites that exist right now are social media oriented. When there are recipients and participants involved, interactions happen. These interactions is exactly what brings life to such sites, exemplifying and remodeling a new experience of communications that one could not have attained in real life.


     The ease of communications, to put it simply is what social media has contributed to us. But in every good there's always bad, and social media certainly inflicts numerous negative effects towards us. Time is taken for granted, one would spend their day interacting in the cyberspace more than they would've in real life. Thus doesn't that cancels the idea of communicating itself, when one is not able or doesn't give a care to interact more in real life ? 


As of everything that exist in life itself, there is the good and there is the bad. It applies to everything. What differentiates us all is how well we utilize the facilities of social media. A legit one would be ; Social Media for Business  and many more as well.
